Every time I’m in Souega I eat a satsuma for peace. Shroomy Allman Brothers homage t shirt. Here in Georgia we love the Allman’s. My claim to fame is I washed Gregg Allman’s car once. True story. I was a soap jockey at Savannah car wash and lo and behold Gregg Allman hisdamnself came in. I buffed his car and bowed towards Macon right there in the parking lot. He goes “get up” and hands me a ten dollar tip. This was the 90’s so ten bucks back then was like $100 today. Man I had lots of great times seeing the Brothers in concert. Soundtrack of my life. Here on the farm I grow tons of organic satsumas. They are a deliciously sweet and tangy citrus and this shirt was completely fitting. It’s a riff of the Eat A Peach album cover and Duane initially suggested the title as “Eat a Peach for Peace.” So… it’s 2024, peace eludes us fully but still we can eat a satsuma and dream our days away.
